Standard CAN/BNQ 2910-510
Explosives — Quantity Distances

This standard specifies the minimum separation distances between potential explosion sites (PES) and exposed sites (ES). The goal is to minimize the risk to life and property.

The standard applies to all locations where the explosion of stored or manufactured explosives could create a blast that results in the projection of fragments or debris, or a thermal danger involving exploding content.

This standard does not apply to transportation activities. It also excludes containers commonly used on site to temporarily store explosives during blasting operations..
